In the morning Stephen wanted to go to a hill called Nuffara. However, he did not stay very long, because it was very muddy and wet there after yesterday's rain. Although he did not stay long I had time to drive to a nearby church in Xaghra in the meantime, to take photos inside the church.
Stephen's main destination for today was Xlendi valley, where he spent several hours and found some interesting plants. Since there are no paths suitable for pushchairs in the valley, Miranda and I decided to go to Citadella. I found St. Barbara's chapel, which I did not have any photos of as yet. We also walked around in Rabat for a while and then we drove to a playing field in Munxar. It was a large park, and we were all alone there, and tried the swings, a slide and a merry-go-round.
For lunch we met up with Stephen in Xlendi, and went to Pings Dining, a new Asian restaurant that we have never tried before. It was a buffet, and all the dishes were delicious. We sat outside with a marvellous view of the valley and the sea in the distance, the only negative things was the large amount of flies. We actually went inside to eat the ice-cream, just in order to avoid the flies.
After the big meal we drove to Zebbug, where we sat on a bench enjoying the warm sunshine and the beautiful views.
Unfortunately the time had come for us to go back to the flat, pack our things and return home. We drove towards the ferry around 6pm, but there was such a long queue that we drove towards Xatt L-Ahmar and sat for a while there in peace and darkness. When we returned towards the ferry around one hour later the queue was much shorter and we did not have to wait too long.
