The PicuMarZ Diary

It was raining already when we woke up, which was good timing, since we had decided to leave Rovaniemi today. We packed our things and started driving south at around 10am.

Stephen wanted to stop by at a chrome mine near Kemi (apparently the only operating chrome mine in whole Europe). He found it very interesting, and also found some plants nearby. I and Miranda stayed mostly in the car because of the rain and the hungry mosquitoes.

We ate buffet lunch at a place called Ii, and Miranda ate a lot as well, although the long shelves with candy was even more tempting than the food .

We stopped by quickly at Lumijoki to take a photo of the church, but the rain was so heavy that we did not even get out of the car.

At 6pm we arrived back to my dad's house in Bennas, tired after a whole day of driving in the rain, but at the same time very satisfied with our trip.
