For quite a while I have been wishing to have a part time job, preferably something that I can work on from home. Therefore I applied for a translator job a few weeks ago, since that would be the perfect kind of job for me, to get translation tasks sent home by email and I could work on it from home at any time I prefer. I did not have any high hopes of getting chosen, though, since I do not have any previous education or experience in the translation field. However, today I got a nice surprise, I have been chosen to be in the company's database and they already have a freelance job for me! It will just be a few hours per week for now, but at least it is a start.
