Miranda and her school mates had an outing to the children' carnival in Victoria today. First they met up at school in their costumes, and then went by minibus to the centre. I and Martyn joined them in the minibus, while Stephen came for a while with the car too.
Unfortunately the weather was not very good, windy and cloudy, but at least no rain. I thought we would stay for a while watching the performances at the main square, but almost immediately we started walking towards McDonalds to eat. Although it was only 10am the children ate happily and had fun at the restaurant with their balloons and toys.
On our walk back from McDonald's we saw some of the dancers, but we missed most of the show and it was already time to go back to school. Not a very well organised outing in my opinion, but the kids seemed to have fun anyway, and that's the main thing.
