A large sculpture of the rooster which once was on the top of the tower of Saint Peter church. The tower was destroyed in World War II and this is the rooster which was previously atop.

Views from the high tower of St Peter's church: The second largest market place of Europe is found in Riga shown in the photo as 4 large halls with circular roofs. These buildings were used as a zeppelin hangars. Since zeppelin are no more in service, four of the massive structures were transported to a site near the Daugava River and used to establish the city market. Under the vast roofs of the hangars, shoppers can find farm-fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh cuts of meat, live fish, and the gamut of anything and everything. Renovations have made the Riga Central Market a nicer place than it was in Soviet times.
The skyscraper like building is just apartments.
