Joensuu lutheran church is made of red bricks and is located in the centre of Joensuu, near the river Pielisjoki. The church was built in 1903 and designed by the Finnish architect Josef Stenback.
The church represents gothic revival, but it also has some features of jugend.

The high tower located in the southeast corner is the bell tower and in the lower southwest tower is the organ.

The painting at the altar is called "The crucifixion of Jesus" and it was made by Ilmari Launis in 1910. At the time of photing the interior of the church there was a choir reharsal going on.

The organ in Joensuu church was built in 1969 by the organ factory of Kangasala and has 36 stops.

This old train can be seen near the railway station of Joensuu. Restored, painted and serving as a tourist attraction.

Here is our tent near the beach at Linnunlahti Camping in Joensuu. The weather had been sunny and warm all day, but as soon as we had put up the tent we started to see dark clouds in the sky, and of course it started to rain during the night. Our tent seems to have some kind of rain spell...

fThere was an amusement park next to the camping site. A bit noisy, but at least the closed quite early in the evenings.
