Close up of the painting found inside the church remembering the what-so-called miracle that took place on the 15th of August (the day dedicated by church to Saint Mary) of 1942 during the World War 2. On this particular day a convoy (large ship) with food and medicinal supplies managed to enter the Grand Harbour of Valletta after numerous failed attempts. The Maltese attributed this event to a miracle by Saint MAry.
