Further Information:
In Malta this species is frequently encountered in garigue, where it constructs strong, thick cobwebs among stones and crevices. Easily identified by its globular shape and pinkish stripe between the prosoma and abdomen, the spider hunts small arthropods which get trapped in its web as they move across the ground.
