Remarks:	This species is an endemic plant, but some argue that this is just a small variant (=dwarf) of the variable and closely related species - Allium commutatum.

Rocky steppes and valley sides especially near arable land. Prefers coastal areas.

This plant is very similar to the species Allium commutatum of which description can be read by [clicking here] However there are few morphological differences which are enough to make it have its own taxon, though some argue that instead it should be placed as a variant of A. commutatum.
